Auction Rules

1. Auction of Champions offers a 0% (zero percent) buyer’s premium for each bidders first year. The 0% promotion is offered from the day the bidder signs up until 365 days after the sign-up date**. After the bidders first year the buyer’s premium will be 10%.

**If a bidder registers before our first ever auction, the 0% promotion starts on the day the inaugural auction begins and ends 365 days after the inaugural auction start date.

2. All sales are final. Items damaged during transit or items inaccurately described will be eligible for return and refund within 30 days from the auction ending.

3. All autographed items in auction will be accompanied by authentication from a trusted third- party authentication company. Eligible third-party authenticators include JSA, Beckett, PSA/DNA, Fanatics, MLB, Tri-Star, Upper Deck, Steiner Sports, Schwartz Sports, Lojo Sports and Leaf. We WILL NOT offer any items that are not accompanied by authentication from one of the above companies. We will also never offer an item with an Auction House Letter of Authenticity like other auction houses do.

4. We honor a 10 (ten) Minute Rule that is in effect at 10:00 PM EST the night of the auction. Registered bidders can bid on any lot until the auction pre-close time of 10:00 PM EST. In order to bid on a lot after the auction pre-close time of 10:00 PM EST, YOU MUST HAVE BID ON THAT LOT BEFORE 10:00 PM EST. Any lot with a single bid or that has zero bids at 10:00 PM EST will close and be awarded to the single bidder. The 10-minute rule pertains to each lot individually and each lot will close after 10 minutes without a new bid on that lot. If a bid is placed, the 10-minute timer will be reset for that lot.

5. At the time of registration, a valid credit card is required to sign up to bid along with any other pertinent information for verification. Having a valid credit card on file for all bidders protects both our bidders and consignors and to help maintain the integrity of the bidding process.

6. Auction of Champions reserves the right to refuse to accept any or all bids by a registered user.

7. Placing a bid is a legal contract. Once a bid is placed, it cannot be retracted. Placing a bid constitutes acceptance of all conditions and our terms of use. In the event of a dispute involving litigation, the bidder agrees to pay any and all attorney fees as well as the costs involved for the collection of funds for the auction company. Any legal action against the auction company shall be brought in the State of Arizona, Maricopa County.

8. Bids can only be placed on the internet ( Bidding on items that you have consigned is a violation of our policy. Violaters will have bidding priveleges revoked.

9. Bids are raised in 10% increments.

10. Payment is expected within 14 days after the auctions ends. After 14 days your credit card on file will be billed for the invoiced amount. Failure to pay invoices in full will result in bidding privileges being revoked and a personal lien will be placed on the non-paying bidder. Auction of Champions will notify all other auction companies of the non-paying bidders liability.

11. Payments can be made via check, money order, Visa or Master Card credit cards and PayPal. Checks are held for up to 10 days to clear and we reserve the right to refuse credit card payments on any lot. Checks and money orders can be made payable to Auction of Champions. There is a $35 bank fee for any returned checks.

12. If in the rare instance that multiple bidders place the same max bid which ends up being the winning bid, the bidder who placed the bid first will be declared the winner.

13. Some items may have reserves. If an item has a reserve price, the item will not sell unless that reserve price is reached. Auction of Champions reserves the right to place a bid on any lot up to but not above the reserve price. If your maximum bid exceeds the reserve price of a lot, your bid will be increased to the reserve price but not above the reserve and bidding will continue from there (ex. If the current bid is $150 and the reserve is set at $200, if you place a max bid of $250, the high bid will then be $200 and bidding will continue).

14. Auction of Champions will not be held responsible for any typographical, photographic, print or technical errors within the auction. After the auction goes live, it is the bidder’s obligation to get updated information about an item from the website, by phone or by email. It is at our discretion to change information, suspend or remove an item from the auction at any time.

15. All winning bidders’ invoices will be available via your account within 48 hours of the auction ending. Winning bidders can access their invoice to view/print and pay online by logging in to their account as soon as the invoice is calculated. Invoices will also be emailed to the winning bidders.

16. All shipping costs will be paid by the winning bidder. Shipping is calculated by quantity, size and weight of the item(s) won. Shipping and insurance will be added to all invoices. Signature confirmation will be added when necessary. Auctions of Champions will ship via USPS, FedEx or UPS based off of the value, size and weight of the items.
